Let me start by saying , I love deal blogging, I wish I had more time to do it. I love all the wonderful woman I have met by way of the blogging world, these are smart, funny and creative people who have shared their time, energy and intellect with me and all their readers.
BUT…
And I can only speak for my myself, but there are times when I am blogging and feel rushed to get a new deal or coupon posted right away, and thinking about witty wording, or sometimes even grammatically correctness is just not a luxury. After a short time blogging I noticed a common list of abused and overused terms where popping up all over my blog. So I thought it would be fun to take a look at the 10 most overused and abused words on deal blogs.
10. Round-up- I have 100 head of cattle, that is 400 hoofs with limited powers of logic or foresight, rounding them up is accomplishing something, coupons, not so much…
9. Rare- These are coupons, not antiquities…
8. YMMV- Your Milage May Vary- Umm are we grocery shopping or going to the Grand Canyon??
7. New- Well posting old and expired coupons would not do anyone much good, now would it??
6. Freebie- Not to be confused with a Furby.
5. Hurry- Yet sometimes I use Hootsuite to schedule my posts during peak Facebook times, so the odds of a wider audience seeing it are at their best, which means a “HURRY” post may not really be seen until hours later…
4. Stock Up Price- This one bothers me, especially when referring to a deal that uses a printable coupon. Lets face it unless you have a room that looks like this in your basement, you are only getting 2:
3. Score – As in “use X coupon to score Y free”. I never use “score” in real life, not sure why I do on my blog..
2. Still Available/Reminder- Judging click-through rate, I doubt any one really wants or benefits from these reminders…
And the number one over used term by coupon and deal bloggers is:
HOT!
Even I roll my eyes when I use “Hot”, but it is usually for a lack of a better description.
~I am Jennifer, a Coupon/deal blogger who is guilty of using all of the above terms at one point or another

hahaha – great post, love the finale!!!
