Tops Dollar Coupon Doublers, are a store coupon that are used in conjunction with manufacturer coupons. There are some restrictions on them, and you will be most successful with them if you understand the restrictions and how to use them.
Tops coupon Doublers are awesome in our region because we happen to get a lot of coupons for $1 off of 2 products, an example would be the Planters Peanut Butter coupon, we got $1 off 2 Peanut butters, while the rest of the country (this may be a slight exaggeration) got $.75 off 1 Planters peanut butter. Tops will double every day up to$.99, so our $1 off 2 coupons are not subject to doubling until they roll out their Dollar Doublers
What you need to know about doublers:
- You can use your Doublers with a minimum purchase of $20.00, this subtotal is after your bonuscard discounts, but before sales tax. If you pick up a BOGO deal next week, make sure you account for that subtraction from your subtotal.
- You must have a Bonuscard to use the doublers (if you don’t have one it only takes a minute to get one from the customer service desk)
- The newer verbiage on the doublers limits 4 doublers per customer, but it is not clear if this is per day, or week. I do multiple transactions during the course of the week. I usually break my trips into smaller trips spread out over the week, this makes for more pleasant, and less stressful trips, also I have heard some Tops stores are enforcing a 1 transaction limit per trip.
My recommendation is to start simple. If this is your first time shopping at Tops , while you are there grab a store map, take a walk around the store and check everything out, and don’t be surprised if you run into me while you are there, I am planning on spending a considerable amount of time at Tops next week
